At Net World Sports we realise the importance of giving back to the community and helping those less fortunate. Whether this be in the form of donating resources such as money and equipment, or simply helping spread the word about an important cause, we’re committed to supporting those in need both locally and across the world.

HOPE HOUSE TŶ GOBAITH CHILDREN’S HOSPICES

Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith care for babies, children, young people, and young adults who have life-threatening conditions and are not expected to live beyond 25 years of age. This incredible charity offers a lifeline for families living in Shropshire, Cheshire, Mid and North Wales through providing bespoke care, counselling, and bereavement support.

Throughout the years, we have been avid supporters of this wonderful charity and the life changing work they do, raising over £40,000. Wherever possible, the team have raised vital monies through internal fundraising and sponsoring annual events such as the Llangollen 10k Canal Walk which raised an enormous £21,500. In 2022, we were honoured to be awarded with the Hope House Tŷ Gobaith Silver Champion status for our ongoing support.

SUPPORTING THE NEXT GENERATION

We believe firmly in the importance of supporting the next generation and have recently put plans in place to encourage young children to get involved with sports and physical activity through donating equipment to schools. This has enabled schools with fewer resources to have the capacity to teach a wider variety of sports and keep pupils active and engaged.

OUR WORK IN WREXHAM

YELLOW & BLUE COMMUNITY FC

Yellow and Blue (YaB) are a forward-thinking non-profit organisation primarily supporting vulnerable members in the Wrexham community. The Yellow and Blue Community FC is an extension of the social enterprise that aims to increase engagement, participation, and community spirit. We donated football training aids to the team during the pandemic when they were struggling for funding. This helped ensure that they could resume their training sessions with the appropriate equipment

WREXHAM POLICE FC

We recently donated an array of football training equipment, including our FORZA Icon Pro Match Footballs, Team Bench, Bibs and more to our local emergency service football team, Wrexham Police FC. The recently established team play when they’re off duty against other local clubs in an effort to build trust and a sense of community.

FOUNDATIONS & COMMUNITIES

IN THE MEDIA

We recently donated a bunch of sports equipment, including our FORZA Alu60 Football Goals and FORZA Basketball Hoop Systems to the team at DIY SOS. The equipment was used to renovate and transform The Ranch, an adventure playground, in Bristol that had recently experienced funding cuts and two devastating fires. The Ranch is home to the local youth centre and with the recent developments, is now a safe social space for the community.

Since our first involvement with Soccer Aid back in 2020, we’ve been proud supporters of the organisation and have supplied the former pro’s and celebrities with all the necessary goals and training aids needed as they prepare for the notorious England vs Rest of World annual showdown.

FUNDRAISING EVENTS

SNOWDON SUNRISE TREK 2023

We’re thrilled to be sponsoring this year’s Snowdon Sunrise Trek, organised by Hope House & Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospices. Net World Sports staff along with other sponsors and volunteers will be walking to the summit of Snowdon, Wales’ tallest mountain, in the early hours to raise vital funds for the charity.

OFFICE VS WAREHOUSE FOOTBALL MATCH

We pitted our office staff vs warehouse employees in a highly anticipated football match that took place at Welsh Premier League side, The New Saints, home ground in Oswestry. The players walked out to a 'Champions League Style' entrance with blue smoke, music and an enthusiastic crowd. After a thrilling 90-minute battle, the office team were crowned champions of the 2022 FORZA Cup. Through internal fundraising, we were able to raise £500 for Hope House.

CHRISTMAS RAFFLE

Every year Net World Sports hold a Christmas Raffle where all the money is donated to Hope House Tŷ Gobaith. The incredible prizes up for grabs for our team included Hospitality tickets for Manchester United and Liverpool, the latest Xbox and Playstation game consoles, an iPhone, a hot tub, a spa day, a supercar track experience and much more. Our most recent Christmas Raffle saw us raise an amazing £3,250.

PANCAKE DAY

In the true spirit of Shrove Tuesday, our team took part in a series of fun pancake mini-challenges with prize money and important titles up for grabs, including the ‘Biggest Flipper’ (who wouldn’t want to be known as the office’s biggest flipper?!). Through paying to play, our team raised more money for the amazing team at Hope House Tŷ Gobaith.

FOOTBALL SHIRT FRIDAY

In November the Bobby Moore Fund called for people across the nation to wear their favourite football shirts and donate towards the pioneering research into the causes and treatment of bowel cancer. Some questionable shirts were championed, but we managed to raise a fantastic sum of money so we’ll let it slide.

WEAR IT PINK

Breast Cancer Now’s ‘Wear It Pink’ day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK. Taking place during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, thousands of people across the nation will wear pink to help raise awareness and money for life-saving research. Our team dug out their favourite pink shirts and held a raffle to win some fabulous pink-themed treats
